The western way is a walking trail along the wild atlantic way.
It is a major tourism spot on the west coast running along parts of
the north and south also. The driving route passes through nine counties
and three provinces, stretching from Donegal to Cork. This series of
images specifically focuses on one rural village along this trail in
particular, in the very west of Ireland, Ballyconneely, Connemara.
Ballyconneely is a small ribbon development in west Connemara showing
true rigid landscape and rawness,a traditional community where
employment is strongly tourism based.
This series is available in book form.
